The Pittsburgh Penguins started of the playoffs in the right direction win a 3-0 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning. Fleury played and amazing game and made 32 saves for the shut out -- including a stop on Ryan Malone with his back to the play -- to stymie a Lightning team that finished second in the Eastern Conference with 247 goals. Alexei Kovalev and Arron Asham scored third-period goals 18 seconds apart to help the Penguins win the first playoff game in their new arena. Overall the game was hard hitting and seemed to be a close game until the third period. At first i thought it was going to be a long series but, if the penguins keep playing the way they did, it might only take 4 or 5 games.Wednesday, April 13, 2011

I laugh at all the people who wanted to trade Fleury after a rought start to the season. He's been playing lights out most of the season and had a shut out last night. Not that he is or will be, but Fleury has to get some consideration for a finalist for the Hart Trophy. I dare anyone to explain to me what goaltender (or single player for that matter) has been more valuable to their teams success outside of Fleury?
